Don was born in Pennsylvania and has had an interest in the country music all his life, especially the sound of a steel guitar.

He started playing in his 20's and then gave it up as he could not find anyone to teach the steel.

He married and started a family but never really forgot his love for the steel.

About 10 years ago, he heard of a steel guitar jam near his home town in Ohio and started going to the jams.

He then bought a used steel guitar and started playing again.

His enjoyment of playing the steel is surpassed only by his love of building the instrument.

He is committed to crafting each piece with precision, accuracy and diligent workmanship.

He recently converted his Bridgeport mill into a CNC and you could say the workshop is literally his "home away from home".

One could easily say he is a perfectionist and his finished pieces certainly reflect that!
